One of my latest and most important things that comes to my mind is masculinity. how it is affecting our lives on multiple layers , and it’s usually associated with control, violence and domination. which drew a call for me on a certain level and led me to express masculinity in a self portrait. filled with passion, stillness, variety, distortion and clarity(rather than what masculinity is popular for). shapes and forms are morphed by the self + the surroundings. presented to you between the feeling of cold and heat.
Ahmad Thaher is a visual artist always hunting and capturing contrast in the surroundings, staring and analyzing color light and texture at each scene. Most of his works presents Kufi calligraphy, geometric (Islamic) patterns, abstract and psychedelic arts, emphasizing simplicity and the complexity of life.
