Her approach is based on a visual reconstruction of the tales, with particular attention to the representation of the characters. Transmitted orally from generation to generation, these stories allow each listener to imagine the characters, thus creating a specific and unique image.

The artist says:
“These stories, combined with my imagination and visual memory, have nourished my inspiration and artistic approach in adulthood. I invite others to share a childlike curiosity and sense of wonder through my work, which is directly inspired by popular tales.”

Reem Alnatsheh is interested in the origins of the stories and the context in which they emerged. She examines the psychological dimensions of the characters—their attitudes and motivations. Drawing connections between the traditional narratives and their regions of origin, she transposes these characters into the present day, imagining how they would respond to the transformations of our daily lives and the challenges they would face today.
